It has added to its statement, Uber would credit accounts for over 65,000 eligible riders. The department had sued the company in November when passengers had complained about the fees that was charged from them if they would take more than 2 minutes to get into their ride share cars. It has noted in its announcement Monday that blind passengers might take longer to reach in the waiting [cars](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1588/lincoln-s-new-electric-car-uses-lo-fi-beats-and-fragrances-to-elevate-state-of-mind) or those with walkers or wheelchairs might take longer to get in. The company has mentioned that '**It has been our policy from long time to refund the wait time fees for riders with a disability once they alerted us that they were charged**,' adding to the statement it has mentioned that it had looked into the changes before the lawsuit to own disabled riders' wait time fees waived automatically once Uber is notified that they were charged.
