As per the court, such things can cause a '**massive hazard**' in town centres and can also cause collisions. US safety regulators have been investigating Tesla's **Autopilot** function after there was a report of 16 crashes, along with seven injury incidents and one death. This would have been involving Tesla vehicles in Autopilot that had affected stationary first-[responder](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/23134/what-is-the-first-responder-and-responder-chain-in-ios) and road [maintenance](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/333912/maintenance-made-simple-how-online-tools-enhance-property-management) vehicles. Tesla had mentioned that Autopilot permits the vehicles to brake and steer automatically among their lanes however it does not make them capable of driving themselves. [Musk](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1728/elon-musk-abandoned-the-44billion-deal-to-buy-twitter) had already mentioned in March that Tesla is probably going to launch a test version of its new '**Full Self-Driving**' software in Europe later this year, depending on regulative approval. He had asked his workers at the **Berlin** factory that '**It's quite troublesome to do full self-driving in Europe**,' and said that much of the work need to be done to handle the difficult driving situations in Europe where roads vary a lot by country.
