# The Periscopic Lenses can be detected in iPhone 15 Top Models

A **periscopic telephoto lens** can be easily equipped within **iPhone 15**. But the company has not yet feature this [technology](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13005/the-functional-aspects-of-laser-technology) in its handsets, it is about to do so. On the other hand, its competitors like [Samsung](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1062/samsung-has-released-the-galaxy-tab-a-kids) had already started to offer this feature in its handsets. According to a recent report’s hint, the Apple can make an agreement with a **South Korean** lens supplier in order to provide it with these lenses in the future. The periscopic telephoto lenses for the iPhone 15 models can be expected to arrive in 2023.\

The report from the **Elec** states that [Apple](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1673/ios-16-the-upcoming-apple-s-feature-will-let-us-bypass-captchas) has entered into an agreement with **Jahwa [Electronics](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/324025/what-skills-do-you-need-to-build-your-own-electronics)** to supply it with periscopic telephoto lenses for the iPhone 15 series. The South Korean lens suppliers have already proclaimed that it had planned to pay **KRW 191 billion** (roughly Rs. 1,188.9 crore) so that it can develop a new factory in **Gumi**, [South Korea](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4087/south-korea-s-morphing-wheel-could-revolutionize-robotics). Although, the company had plants that manufacture **optical image stabilisers (OIS)** actuators for the **[Samsung Galaxy](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/33631/how-can-i-start-remote-debugging-on-a-samsung-galaxy-tablet) S22** series. Well, the [development](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/65309/importance-of-ux-design-in-the-development-of-mobile-apps) of any new plant would purposely indicate that Jahwa might have acquired certain heavy [investments](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2678/5g-services-in-india-to-attract-rs-1-5-lakh-crore-in-investments-in-2023) as a part of a new deal. The production of new factory is expected to start by March 2023.

Moreover, the report specifies that Apple had visited Jahwa's OIS production line in 2021. On the other hand, the **Cupertino Company** had asked its suppliers to create separate and dedicated production lines for its parts. Before the production in Gumi starts the new site there need to get approved by Apple that might take nearly a year.

The recent information basically coincides with an earlier report which has also hinted earlier that Apple may fit its 2023 [iPhone models](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1148/iphone-without-a-sim-card-slot-apple-may-have-plans-for-esim-iphone) with periscopic telephoto lenses. Along with this, the company is basically expected to enhance the rear cameras on its 2022 models. It might even employ a unibody lens design for the selfie camera to scale down the size of the display notch.
