# Immediately after Shutdown the PS Store removed Purchased Movies from Libraries

Sony, the [tech](https://www.mindstick.com/services/technologies) giant has been removing access to many movies and [television shows](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/101572/what-are-some-iconic-american-television-shows) on its [PlayStation](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/106044/tips-for-playing-cricket-on-playstation) Store service by the coming month. It means that the users who had previously made their payment for the titles like **Paddington** and **The Hunger Games** could no longer be able to watch such great shows.

As per a report, the sudden close down has affected the users in **Germany** and **Austria**. The users were aware of such information through the legal notices which were posted on the two specific regional sites, and the covers films which were produced by the **StudioCanal**.

This shutdown is expected to come into force on August 31, precisely after one year of [Sony](https://www.mindstick.com/news/764/sony-planning-for-the-psvr-successor-for-the-upcoming-holiday-seasons) to discontinue movie and television shows which were purchased through its digital store, itself.

According to a report, there was a specific time when Sony had announced that its [customers](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13008/how-does-a-customer-portal-enhance-the-experience-of-customers) can still be able to access the content which was purchased previously.

It would even mention that the content which was purchased is going to be removed as soon as possible from the customers’ video libraries.
