Similar to the name, the users can write Notes with an in-built tool to help users share longer posts up to 2,500 words. Well, the [social media](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1652/indian-government-revises-rules-for-social-media-companies-to-protect-constitutional-rights) platform usually limits the posts to 280 characters. But Twitter has come up with this new move as a response to [check whether](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/157543/write-a-java-program-to-check-whether-a-string-is-a-palindrome) people use the platform to post pictures of longer [news](https://www.mindstick.com/developersection/news) and steer the followers to the outside newsletter. Twitter said that currently, it is testing the Notes tool with a '**small group of writers**' which will be running for the next two months in Canada, Ghana, the UK, and the US. The company has said something through the tweet, '**They [Notes] can also be read on and off Twitter, by people in most countries**.' Once the feature is out for use, the users will see a dedicated 'write' option on the left panel of the [web platform](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/84158/mindstick-is-a-new-generation-web-platform-for-all-kinds-of-activities). But it is still unclear whether Notes will roll out on the Twitter app for [Android](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1391/whatsapp-is-releasing-a-new-voip-phone-experience-for-android-beta-testers) and [iOS](https://www.mindstick.com/news/1673/ios-16-the-upcoming-apple-s-feature-will-let-us-bypass-captchas) in the initial phase. As soon as we click on the 'write' tap, the users are redirected to a new page where they are supposed to give a headline and cover images. Following that, users can start with the new feature 'Notes.' After the users publish Notes, it will appear on Twitter as a clickable card. While clicking on the image or the link, the users would read the full text. Well, users would be able to edit their notes after they get published. **[As mentioned](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/38307/bring-out-the-significance-of-the-terms-sovereign-democratic-republic-as-mentioned-in-the-preamble), Twitter Notes will provide a unique URL, which could be shared with other users even if they do not have an account.** Meanwhile, Twitter is witnessing the testing of a new feature that would help users purchase merchandise directly from the platform.
