While speaking on the sidelines of an event organised by the ministry, Rohit Singh said “We have sought information from cab aggregators how they handle cancellation charges and surge pricing and how they calculate the fare,” Singh said in a meeting.

He added “We have asked why the charges to go from point A to B are different for two different people,” the related ministry would also confirm whether the cab aggregators would have taken adequate measures to safeguard [consumer data](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/32313/should-websites-be-more-upfront-about-how-consumer-data-is-used-to-benefit-both-parties-once-they-agree-to-access-content) on their platforms.

The secretory also said “we have asked for information. We will discuss with them and based on the outcome we will take further action,” in a meeting.
