# Reforms in IT Rules is the Need of the Hour, Says Advocacy Group

An **Advocacy group** proposed some **amendments to IT rules** which will protect the children from the [online gaming](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/95819/why-investors-are-loving-the-online-gaming-market) world. **The Policy paper** urged the nodal ministry to initiate the process of inclusion of guidelines.

The online world has a lot of bad impacts on [human health](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/85539/how-global-warming-surges-the-after-effects-on-human-health) and [one of them](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/47593/what-are-the-prevalent-water-proofing-systems-write-a-short-notes-on-any-one-of-them) is the safety of children from unscrupulous offshore players. Highlighting the need for a “Unified” [framework](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/34615/software-framework-vs-library) for the online **skill-based games [ecosystem](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/97479/explain-the-components-of-blockchain-ecosystem),** Chase India has released a paper.

The paper can be read as “A clear and sound national regulatory framework for skill-based online gaming will protect children, consumers ensure the growth of the ‘sunrise’ sector while keeping at bay illegal actors operating from overseas in the space,” The group has revealed in its releasing paper.

Currently, different states have regulated the **online [gaming platform](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/39155/which-india-sports-personality-has-become-the-brand-ambassador-of-gaming-platform-dream-11)** according to their own choice and interpreted laws on gaming differently confusing legitimate players. The regulatory body is not able to restrict the entry of offshore players with no accountability in the country to operate with abandon.

The policy paper has endorsed the basic reforms which will keep the balance between the current rules of the online gaming [platforms](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/126146/the-current-scenario-of-cryptocurrency-exchange-platforms) and the [safety measures](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/110522/what-are-the-modern-day-safety-measures-for-popular-tourist-destination) for children. In society, the growth of online gaming is at its peak and encroaching the safety boundaries for children of the societies.

The provisions which have been proposed in the current drafting of an amendment to the IT rules will be focusing the **safety of children** and underage persons and will block the entry of illegal persons with evil intentions.
