Ministry has blocked **22 YouTube** channels for allegedly spreading disinformation related to India’s [national security](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/106107/how-does-the-national-security-council-function) and foreign relation. The Blocked YouTube channels involve 18 Indian and 4 Pakistan-based channels. The ban on YouTube Channels was made for the first time Under **IT Rules 2021.** Including Facebook, three Facebook accounts, three Twitter accounts, and one website blocked by the said ministry to save the Nation’s Peace. The channels that were blocked have a good number of subscribers, one named ARP news has 4.4 crore subscribers. Similarly, others like AOP news have 74 lakh subscribers, and **LDC has 4.7 lakh subscribers.** These channels and platforms can disturb the peace in the Country by spreading fake and provoking information to the people.
