The e-bus was disclosed by the minister of tourism and [environment](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/308/need-to-create-a-supportive-work-environment-for-women) in the Maharashtra Government including others who were a part of unveiling Aditya Thackeray, Sudhir Mehta, Chairman of the EKA, and Pinnacle industry at the Pune [Alternative](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/2324/what-is-the-alternative-to-the-mvc) Fuel Conclave (AFC) on Saturday. EKA is working as a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industry. The Conclave is the initiation of the Maharashtra Government and it was organized by the Maharashtra Industrial [Development Corporation](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95651/the-national-skill-development-corporation-a-not-for-profit-public-limited-company-has-joined-hands-with-which-company-to-enhance-the-digital-skills-of-the-country-s-youth) (MIDC) and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB). All the bodies worked in collaboration to start this pollution-free vehicle. As per the company release, the electronic bus EKA E9 is powered by a 200 KW motor, providing faster acceleration, more horsepower, and greater traction power. The bus including all these features gives 17 percent gradeability to tackle any terrain and a regenerative braking system, as the company said. Today we are excited to launch our first electric bus EKA E9 to empower cities to achieve their zero-emission targets,” said on Saturday.
