The lawsuit was filed on Friday. **April Curley is the plaintiff** who filed a lawsuit against the company Google for discriminating against the company employees based on their race. The suit was filed in the [Federal Court](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/32911/how-are-jurors-contacted-for-service-in-federal-court-in-the-usa) in San Jose, **California.** The [action against](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/115908/is-trump-planning-military-action-against-india) the world-famous company google came after the **Department of Fair Employment and Housing began investigating** the Company’s treatment of Black female workers. She said that she was hired in 2014 to specifically design an outreach program to historically black colleges. Curley told **she was fired in September 2020** when she and her friend working on a list of desired reforms. Curley’s Lawyer said in a statement “while google claims that they were looking to increase diversity, they were undervaluing, underpaying, and mistreating their black employees,” **Ben Crump** said.
