# NASA Plans to Take Humans Back to Moon With Artemis

The mission was originally scheduled to launch in **November 2021** but used to face some pushed back several times before.

Artemis I is now again prepared to launch before summer this year after several decades. The mission will set the stage for [returning](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2477/returning-ceo-bob-iger-dismisses-the-disney-apple-sale-as-pure-speculation) humans to the Moon.

The launch time of the mission changed several times as the team was not ready to make this launch because the [preparation](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/23237/spit-roast-preparation) was not done.

**The mission was finally to be launched in February 2022** but later on, it was pushed back to March.

As the [official](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/93540/is-kidszone-different-from-official-mindstick) statement of NASA reveals it is not possible to launch the mission in March and now it is postponed to May.

**Space.com** quoted “we continued to evaluate the May window, but we are also recognizing that there is a lot of work in [front of us](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/81405/international-day-against-drug-abuse-2020-youth-dying-in-front-of-us),” said Tom Whitmeyer, who is at the post of deputy associate administrator for exploration system [development](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/65309/importance-of-ux-design-in-the-development-of-mobile-apps) at NASA.

The mission Artemis is the first mission that will send the first Woman and first person of color to the Moon’s [surface](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/907/how-to-surface-a-value-for-more-than-one-row-in-mysql), the mission is also looking for a long time to send astronauts to Mars for the first time.
