The account was suspended due to a violation of Twitter's terms of service. Wordle was reverse-engineered by Robert Reichel. ## WHY IN NEWS Twitter has taken down a bot account that was attempting to reveal Wordle's daily secret word. The automated Twitter bot 'The Wordlinator' started leaving unpleasant comments on Wordle Twitter tweets, including the next day's Wordle word. Wordle is a popular [online game](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/36029/what-is-the-grand-mondial-casino-online-game-is-it-safe-for-playing) in which participants must predict a five-letter word in six attempts. Every 24 hours, it makes only one round available to all users. By [publishing](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/11827/self-publishing-variety) a score card, players may inform others on [social media](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/13056/how-to-leverage-social-media-to-attract-lots-of-blog-traffic) how many attempts it took them to correctly guess a word, without actually giving the real word. **also read :** https://tinyurl.com/y3u53643 The Wordlinator **(@wordlinator)** was banned from Twitter for purposely commenting on Wordle-related Twitter postings with spoilers for the next day's game. The account is now unavailable. According to the website, it was suspended for breaking Twitter's guidelines. The account arose shortly after [software engineer](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/37052/how-many-years-can-a-software-engineer-survive-in-the-it-industry-in-india) Robert Reichel announced that he had reverse-engineered Wordle to know the daily answers, according to GameSpot. Robert Reichel said on his [blog](https://www.mindstick.com/developersection/blog) on January 9 that he had reverse-engineered the game such that he could guess the next day's word before it went online. According to the blog, Wordle selects a word from a static wordlist using a client-side date-based algorithm.
