# Can simply display text in Sencha Touch?

Hi Everyone,\
I want to display a [static](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12098/the-static-keyword-the-static-methods) [text](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/301635/did-people-reinvent-texting-to-express-the-full-range-of-emotions) in my app which would be a tab in my **tabpanel**.\
I can only find **textfield** with [input](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/159209/how-can-i-read-convert-an-input-stream-into-a-string-in-java), how do I get a **textfield** no input to show? In [Sencha Touch](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/23004/define-class-system-of-sencha-touch) architect.\
