# How to use Infrared Proximity Sensor with Arduino using C plus plus  code??

Infrared radiation has a wavelength from about 800 nm to 1 mm, and is emitted particularly by heated [objects](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/145447/what-are-objects). And a Infared **proximity sensor** is an electronic **sensor** capable of detecting the [presence](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/12492/how-to-enhance-your-presence-on-facebook) of nearby objects without [physical](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/82619/leave-digital-live-physical) contact. It emits an electromagnetic field or a beam of electromagnetic radiation (for example: **infrared**) and then looks for changes in the return signal or field.\
