# How do you keep Claude Projects useful when their reference files change?

I’m considering using Claude Projects as a shared workspace for a team, with product notes and internal guidance added as reference files. The part I haven’t figured out is how to keep that information from quietly going stale as the source documents change.

Do you replace files by hand, keep a separate “current” set, or use Projects only for material that rarely changes? I’m curious how well **[Claude Projects knowledge files](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/162389/do-claude-projects-pick-up-updated-knowledge-files-in-existing-chats)** work for ongoing team use, rather than a one-off research task.
