# When Claude reviews a long document, how do you spot what it missed?

I’ve been using Claude to review lengthy policy and product documents. The summaries are readable, but I sometimes wonder whether a quiet exception buried in the middle has been overlooked. A polished summary can make that hard to notice.

For people who use Claude on long files, what do you ask it to do so you can check coverage rather than just get a smooth overview? Do you work section by section, ask for specific clauses, or use another way to verify the **long document review**?
