# Can I keep ChatGPT memory off for just one conversation?

I use ChatGPT for a mix of everyday questions and personal projects, and I don’t want every conversation shaping what it remembers about me. Is there a way to keep memory off for one chat without changing the setting for all my chats? I’m also curious whether a temporary chat behaves differently from simply turning memory off.
