# Can I choose a different default model for each Perplexity Space?

I use Perplexity Spaces for a few different kinds of research, and the model that suits one Space isn’t always the one I want for another. Is model selection saved per Space, or do I have to pick a model again for each new thread?

I’d like to know whether a Space can keep its own default model across conversations, and what happens if I change the model after a thread has already started.
