# Does a Grok subscription include credits for the xAI API?

I’m trying to figure out whether paying for Grok through an X or SuperGrok subscription also gives you any usage for the xAI developer API, or whether those are billed and managed separately.

If you’ve used both, could you clarify how **Grok subscription and API billing** relate? I’m also curious whether the subscription changes API rate limits or only affects access to Grok in the consumer app.
