# Does the DeepSeek API support parallel tool calls?

I’m building an API client that can ask a model to use tools, and I’m trying to understand how DeepSeek handles a response that needs more than one tool. Can it request multiple tool calls in the same turn, or should the client expect them one at a time?

If parallel calls are supported, how do you associate each tool result with the right call before sending the results back to the model? I’d appreciate notes from anyone who has tested this with the current API.
