# How well does DeepSeek handle prompts written in multiple languages?

Has anyone compared DeepSeek on prompts that switch languages partway through—for example, asking a question in English but including source material in Spanish or Chinese?

I’m interested in whether it follows instructions and preserves meaning across the languages, especially when the response also needs to keep names or technical terms unchanged. If you’ve tested this with a particular DeepSeek model, what worked well and where did it struggle?
