# How much should we trust Perplexity’s citations when researching a topic?

I’ve been using Perplexity to get oriented on unfamiliar subjects, and the linked sources are helpful. But I’ve also seen answers where a citation seems related to the claim without quite supporting it.

When you use Perplexity for research, do you check every source, or have you found a reliable way to judge whether its citations back up the answer?
