# Do my X account settings affect Grok’s answers to factual questions?

I’ve noticed that asking the same question in different sessions can produce different context or emphasis in Grok. I’m wondering whether being signed in to X, or my account’s activity and preferences, can shape an answer even when I haven’t asked about my own posts.

Has anyone compared responses while signed in and signed out? I’m trying to separate normal variation between answers from possible **account-level personalization**, and I’m curious whether Grok makes that distinction clear in its settings or responses.
