# Do separate Perplexity Space threads share instructions or research context?

I’m considering using one Perplexity Space for a project with several separate research threads. I’d like the threads to share the Space’s general instructions, but I don’t want details from one discussion quietly shaping answers in another.

Does a new thread start with a clean slate apart from the Space-level settings, or can earlier conversations influence it? If you’ve compared separate threads in the same Space with threads in different Spaces, I’d be interested in what you noticed.
