# Can Perplexity keep searches limited to a set of domains?

For a research project, I want answers grounded in a short list of sites rather than the whole web. Is there a dependable way to set up **domain-specific search** in Perplexity so each follow-up stays within those sources, or do I need to repeat the restriction in every prompt?

I’d also like to know what happens when none of the selected domains has useful material. Does the search stay constrained, or can results drift beyond the requested sites?
