# Can Grok switch languages naturally in the middle of a voice conversation?

I sometimes start a voice chat in English and then switch to another language when I’m quoting someone or asking about a phrase. Does Grok usually follow that change without needing a new conversation?

I’d like to hear how it handles **switching languages mid-conversation**, especially when the request itself is in one language but the quoted words are in another. Does it keep the reply language consistent, or does it tend to switch back and forth?
