# How should I send before-and-after images to the OpenAI API?

I’m building a feature that compares two photos of the same scene taken at different times. For **image order in one request**, does it help to label each image explicitly in the prompt, or is placing the earlier photo first enough? I’m also curious whether anyone has found a reliable way to avoid the model mixing up which image is “before” and which is “after.”
