# Can Perplexity stop repeating weak sources in a research thread?

When I’m researching a niche subject in Perplexity, I sometimes get the same low-quality site showing up in several follow-up answers. I can reword the question, but that doesn’t always change the source mix.

Is there a reliable way to steer a thread away from a particular domain or ask for a wider range of independent sources? I’m interested in **source-quality controls** people have found useful, rather than just adding “use reliable sources” to every prompt.
