# Can I share a Perplexity thread without exposing account details?

I sometimes want to send a Perplexity conversation to someone who doesn’t use the service. Before sharing one, I’d like to know what they can actually see: just the questions, answers, and citations, or any account-specific details as well?

Does a **[shared Perplexity thread](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/162453/can-someone-open-a-shared-perplexity-thread-without-signing-in)** reveal anything about the person who created it, such as their profile or other searches? I’m also curious whether changing or deleting the original conversation affects a link that has already been shared.
