# Can Grok recognize satire in an X post before summarizing it as fact?

I’ve seen obviously exaggerated X posts get summarized in a very matter-of-fact way by AI tools. How well does Grok distinguish satire from a genuine claim when it is asked what a post means?

Does it use the surrounding account or replies as context, or does it mostly take the wording at face value? I’d be interested in examples where the original post had no explicit “satire” label.
