# Does switching models in Perplexity change how the same sources are used?

If I run the same question in Perplexity with two different models selected, should I expect them to work from the same retrieved pages, or can the source set change too?

I’m trying to separate differences in the models’ explanations from differences in what they were shown. Has anyone compared **Perplexity answers across models** while keeping the query and search settings the same?
