# Can Grok reliably cite posts from private or restricted X accounts?

I’m trying to use Grok to track how a claim is spreading on X, but some of the posts I can see are from accounts with restricted visibility. When I ask about them, I’m not sure whether Grok can actually access those posts or is responding from public discussion around them.

Has anyone found a dependable way to tell what X material Grok could see for an answer? I’m especially interested in whether its citations make the visibility limits clear.
