# Can Perplexity export research with its source links intact?

I’m putting together research notes in Perplexity and would like to move them into a Markdown document or another notes app. When I copy or export an answer, do the citations remain attached to the relevant claims, with the original source links preserved?

I’m asking about a usable **Perplexity Markdown export**, not just a plain-text copy of the answer. If the built-in options don’t carry the references over cleanly, what workflow are people using to keep the answer and sources together?
