# Does Grok carry saved personalization into separate conversations?

I’m trying to work out whether Grok’s personalization applies only inside the chat where I set it up, or whether it can influence **[separate conversations](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/162297/does-chatgpt-memory-make-separate-conversations-feel-connected)** too. For example, if I ask it to keep answers concise in one chat, should I expect that preference to show up in a new one?

How does Grok handle **saved personalization** across chats, and is there a clear way to check what it remembers or keep a conversation from using those preferences?
