# Can Perplexity search be limited to a custom date range?

I’m researching a software product where old release notes and recent changes both matter. A broad search tends to mix them together, so I’d like to know whether Perplexity can use a **custom date range** rather than just a general recency preference.

Is there a reliable way to set specific start and end dates, and do the cited pages make their publication dates clear enough to check?
