# Can Grok tell an original X post apart from commentary in a thread?

When I ask Grok to summarize a long X discussion, I sometimes want to know what the person who started the conversation actually claimed, rather than a blended summary of everyone’s replies and quote posts.

Does it reliably keep the **original post versus reposts** distinct, including when people quote the post to disagree with it? If you’ve tried this on a busy thread, what wording helped you get a useful account of who said what?
