# Can I export a Perplexity answer and keep its citations clickable?

I often want to move a researched answer from Perplexity into a project note or a document for colleagues. When I copy or export it, do the citations stay attached to the relevant claims as working links, or do they turn into plain numbers that are easy to lose track of?

I’m interested in the difference between copying text, sharing a thread, and exporting it to another format. If you’ve found a reliable way to preserve **exported answer citations** and keep the source trail readable, what workflow do you use?
