# Can a Claude team share project resources without sharing chats?

We’re considering using Claude Projects as a shared workspace for team reference material. The part I’m unsure about is the boundary between shared project resources and personal conversations: if a colleague joins a **shared Claude project**, can they see my earlier chats, or only the project instructions and files?

How does this work for people who leave the team, too? I’d appreciate practical experience from anyone managing shared projects, especially around access to uploaded documents and keeping private drafts separate.
