# Are Claude Artifacts a reliable place to keep work, or should I export versions?

I’ve started using Claude Artifacts for drafts and small interactive tools, and I’m unsure how much to treat them like saved project files. If I make several edits over time, is there a dependable way to revisit an earlier version or share a stable copy with someone else?

How do you manage **artifact version history** in practice? I’d rather not discover that an important iteration is hard to recover after continuing to edit.
