# Are passkeys still convenient when your devices use different ecosystems?

I’m considering switching more of my accounts to passkeys, but my devices don’t all belong to the same ecosystem. Before I commit, I’m trying to understand what happens when I need to sign in from a device that doesn’t share the same password manager or account sync.

For people using a mix of phones and computers, how painless is recovery and everyday sign-in? I’d also like to hear where you keep a backup passkey without making account access depend on a single device.
