# How do you get Perplexity to separate facts from its analysis?

When I ask Perplexity to compare products, the answer often blends details from sources with its own interpretation. That synthesis can be helpful, but I want to see which points are directly supported and which are judgments drawn from the material.

Is there a prompt that consistently gets Perplexity to distinguish reported facts from analysis, ideally with sources attached to the factual claims? I’m interested in real workflows, not just adding “cite your sources” to the end of the question.
