# Can Claude keep a useful changelog while editing several files?

I’m using Claude to make changes that touch several files, and I’d like to review the work without piecing together the whole conversation afterward. Has anyone found a reliable way to have Claude maintain a concise changelog as it goes?

I’m not looking for a substitute for Git diffs. I want a short record of what changed in each file and why, especially when the task takes multiple rounds of edits. Does a prompt or workflow make that summary stay accurate?
