# What should an app display while streaming a DeepSeek reasoning response?

I’m building a chat interface around DeepSeek’s API and am unsure how to present a [streamed response](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/162475/how-should-an-openai-api-client-recover-if-a-streamed-response-disconnects) from a reasoning model. Which parts of the stream should the UI treat as user-facing text, and how should it behave while the model is still producing its final answer?

I’m also curious how developers handle partial chunks and the end of a response without briefly showing internal or unfinished content as if it were the answer.
