# Can Grok analyze an uploaded CSV without bringing in X search results?

I have a CSV of [customer feedback](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/157254/how-to-determine-customer-feedback-towards-custom-packaging) and want Grok to summarize recurring themes from the file itself. Since Grok is also connected to X, I’m unsure whether a request to “analyze this data” stays grounded in the upload or might blend in outside posts and current discussion.

Is there a clear way to tell Grok to use only the uploaded data, or to check what evidence it used in its summary? If you’ve tried this with a large CSV, I’d be interested in how you handled missing values and columns with free-text comments too.
