# Can Perplexity search only official documentation for software questions?

When I’m checking a command-line flag or a recently changed API option, forum posts and older tutorials can muddy the answer. Is there a reliable way to get Perplexity to search only official documentation, such as a vendor’s docs site, rather than mixing in general web results?

I’m curious whether a domain-specific search setting works consistently or if it still takes careful prompt wording.
