# Do Grok’s X search results depend on what I can see in my account?

When Grok searches posts on X, should I expect the results to match what I can find by searching directly in my own account? I’m wondering whether account visibility settings, blocked accounts, or posts I can’t access affect what Grok can retrieve.

This matters when I’m using it to check what people are saying about a topic, rather than just asking for a general summary. If the search has a different view of X than the signed-in user does, how can I tell what may be missing?
