# How well does Perplexity export its citations into a reference manager?

I use Perplexity to get oriented on a topic, then move the sources into Zotero before writing. Copying citations by hand is a bit tedious, and I’ve seen source details vary between the answer and the linked page.

Is there a dependable way to move [Perplexity citations](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/117694/why-do-perplexitys-citations-sometimes-not-support-the-exact-claim) into Zotero or another reference manager with the title, author, and publication details intact? I’m interested in what works in practice, including any cleanup people still have to do.
