# How should I check keyboard accessibility in a Claude-generated interface?

I’m using Claude to prototype a settings screen with a modal dialog, dropdowns, and a few validation messages. It looks reasonable with a mouse, but I don’t want to treat a polished preview as evidence that it’s accessible.

For **keyboard accessibility testing**, what would you check first? I can tab through the controls, but I’m less confident about focus moving into the modal, staying there while it’s open, and returning to the right button when it closes.

Would you export the interface and test it outside the artifact preview before reporting issues back to Claude? I’m trying to separate problems in the generated UI from anything introduced by the preview environment.

A short, practical review checklist would help more than a prompt that simply asks Claude to “make it accessible.” I’d also like to know which checks need a screen reader rather than keyboard-only testing.
