# Can Grok follow replies when I share the root post of an X thread?

When I give Grok the **X thread root post URL**, can it take the replies into account, or is its answer based mainly on the original post? I’m asking because some threads put the key correction or extra context several replies down.

Has anyone tested this with a [long thread](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/162300/does-perplexity-keep-earlier-constraints-in-a-long-research-thread) where the author’s later replies change the meaning of the first post? I’d like to know whether there’s a reliable way to get Grok to consider the whole discussion rather than just the visible starting point.
