# Do ChatGPT scheduled tasks run if my computer is offline?

I’m considering using **ChatGPT scheduled reminders** for recurring things like a weekly check-in, but I’m not sure what has to be open for them to run. If my laptop is shut down and I’m not using the browser, will the task still trigger? I’d also like to know where the notification appears and whether it depends on having the mobile app set up.

What has your experience been with scheduled tasks when your devices are offline?
